I have just today realized - much to my delight - if I'm feeling stressed and like I'm on the verge of getting an ulcer because I have too much to do, then I can just............wait for it.............DO LESS!

....what a fun way to spend Friday night - earlier in the week I told the boy about a new cafe I read about that serves bubble tea - anyone who hasn't heard of this beverage - it's yummy - see:  http://www.bubbleteasupply.com/   - anyway...the boy being interested in new food and local restaurants I thought he'd think it was interesting so we looked it up and talked about going sometime - well long story longer - the boy went home with a buddy - he and a few friends were spending the night - normal Friday night stuff - but then late afternoon he calls me to see if I will come and pick them up and take them for bubble tea! Well - of course I will! People - when your teenage son asks you to go and do something with his friends - go - do not hesitate - just go! I picked them up and we all went - it was neat to learn about the different flavors and how they make it and fun to try something new - there was nothing really major or enlightening about the outing and I took them back to the buddies house so they could continue their hanging out and proceed on with their sleep over. It was nothing major....but it was special.....for that hour or so...I wasn't just the driver, just the mom...they talked to me about music and religion, schools and college......they let me into their world. Too soon they will not need a driver - he is growing so fast - already 3 inches taller than me and such an amazing, cool, funny, smart, kind, fine, fine young man. It was a good day.

Baby it's cold outside

First off - I am working hard at making my blog cuter and have to say I am highly jealous of the precious graphics and backgrounds on the blogs I follow - insight & recommendations welcomed!

The high today in the big Capital City is 40 degrees and tomorrow............28!

So to state the obvious it is cold and I am amazed that the temperature does not deter my son's insane golf addiction - he still wants to go play this afternoon - more power to him - that is a nice little combination of obsession and dedication he has going on. I could take a page from his book and go run instead of just putting on my cute running clothes and wearing them to work! What am I thinking.....at some opportune moment I'll just hop up from my desk and take off - I must get with it - time is ticking and I will NOT go through this Summer stressing about what needs to be covered up, pinched and pulled!

On a different note - I worry about my mom when it gets this cold - she has Reynaud's (along with Lupus and R.A.) the cold is terrible for her and very hard on her hands. However, I do not doubt that she will rock right along with her day - coming into the office looking fabulous and all put together - on my best day I am not half as put together as momma!
